warning: this is going to be a nonsensical rant.
i am so sick and tired about people whining and complaining. i am 33 and had to move back home to escape heroin junkies or declare bankruptcy, and you don't see me boo-hooing about it. do i feel a little pathetic? hell no! in two years i'll be debt free with a home. (yeah, i was depressed for a while but i'm looking on the brigh tside. scary, i know). i'm fucking george costanza. don't leave a pastry sitting on paper on the top of the garbage...i just may eat it.
anyways, all i ever hear are people whining about their relationships, their finances, and whatnot. well do something about it. your wife is distant, get rid of her. no, staying with her is not helping the kids. kids are better off with two homes if it means their parents are happy. as long as you keep healthy communication lines, the children will flourish when parents separate. just admit things are over and move on already. your finances suck? yeah, so do mine, i live at home asshole. write out a budget. use a simple excel spreadsheet. figure out what you can cut back on. whatever.
you hate your roommates, get new ones! hell, i can't live with roommates at all. they drive me batshit crazy. okay, that's just me and has nothing to do with roommates, but still. allrighty folks...i'm done. just had to get a little off of my disproportionate chest.

random things that make me smile at work
the hot dog cart outside that's shaped like a giant hot dog. i love that kind of stuff. why don't they make a damn weber bbq shaped like a hamburger? i'd buy that shit in a hot minute!!
when i get a check from a firm that has a catchy name. makes me want to buy their product for coming up with something so catchy.
seeing people be randomly nice to each other. it's refreshing.
when the lady next to me cusses under her breath when she makes a mistake. yay, i am not the only one who does that.
when people actually acknowledge how much work i do. it rarely happens, and it's so nice when it does.
i'm sure there are more, but these are what came to mind in a second.

my hair, it's gone
so i went to a hair appointment with a bit of a hangover and it was cut a wee bit shorter than i should've taken it. picture mary ann jelotnick (one of the pat benatars in fast times) meets pat benatar. i'm totally making it work and in the three days i've had it it's grown on me. it's all spikey short with really long pieces on the side. i'm just still not used to it.
you could also call it a "hasidic jew do." it's actually kind of fantastic. i'm just used to having my little bob so adjusting is tough for me. in the end, it's just hair right? and it is pretty awesome. mason never does me wrong. yay for awesome hairdressers.
go to magic salon (obvious plug).
