There Is No Mountain

Last night I had this lovely, cute, and very friendly couple from Oregon stay with me. They were playing a show at a local coffee shop so I went and checked them out. Their name is There Is No Mountain and I fully and completely enjoyed their music and melodies. Their site is here: There Is No Mountain.

It's times like this that I am really glad I have opened my home to new people. You should check them out and buy some of their stuff if you like them. They seriously restored my faith in humanity, after my last couch surfing guest was less than stellar. They even took pics of my kitty and doggy to put on their Instagram as they are doing a series of pets they encounter on tour.

This is Matt and Kali, and they are welcome in my home any time.

  1. So awesome that this one worked out! I think you're pretty brave doing the couch-surfing thing. I don't think I could bring myself to do it.

    1. I have had a lot of fun with it and met some amazing people. And one douche.

  2. That's cool. What if you liked them, but their music was tragically awful? How would you broach that subject or would you just avoid talking about their music or would you just lie? Are you lying to us now!?!

    1. These are not the droids you are looking for.

If I didn't care for their music I would be honest. But in a nice way. Haha. Not really. In a super mean "you suck balls" way.

  4. Cool! I'm so glad you had the opportunity to meet this great couple and spend time with them. I think it's incredible that you would open your home and your arms to embrace strangers! The Husband gets all squirrely when the stupid Direct TV guy has to come in the house!

  5. I think you are amazingly brave and obviously a very friendly person. I come across as a bit of a b*tch when you I first meet people as I am very shy and can appear quite aloof. I guess people would refuse to sleep on my couch having met THAT person.

Then they get to know me and run in the opposite direction for totally different reasons......
