Happy Holidays Y'all!

So apparently new boyfriends don't listen to your, "I don't do holiday gifts, I just buy people stuff randomly if I see something I think they would like" rule. I got some really pretty plugs from Sean for Xmas. Luckily his wife had warned me he got me stuff so I went and got him a really beautiful Ralph Lauren pageboy cap and scarf. I told him it was like men who buy lingerie. I buy my fellas stuff I'd like to see them in. What's good for the goose, right? Charles got me a bottle of Jameson and his wife made me this:

The girl date went fantastically. We ate a lovely dinner then went to visit one of her friends who works at a super swank bar called Rye. It was so fun. Then we cabbed to the show where we rocked out. We rocked out until two guys were being complete pricks and I pushed one by his face and told him to chill the fuck out. Apparently he knew a staff member there 'cause minutes later she was coming at me. Well, Suzie gave her a fat lip and got kicked out. I followed her out to try and explain what happened but I think the chick was pissed she got bettered by a waify gorgeous girl and she wouldn't listen. So we went across the street to a bar called Butter and got a beer and danced around to silly music the dj was spinning. Then we went back to Rye and I met some new folks who were so fun. This was us out on the street in between bands.

I am at work today and the place is completely dead. I am messaging back and forth with a guy in one of our branches about how we should be running around the aisles recreating our favorite scenes from Home Alone. I am the only one here in my unit all week, and I'm totally cool with that. I have Leonard Cohen blasting out of my iPhone 'cause why wear earbuds if you don't need to? Also, I am wearing this:

I never understood people taking time off around the holidays unless they have to travel. We get 4 ITO hours so not only is this a ghost town, but I get to leave at noon. Then on NYE we get released around 3. So Leonard Cohen turned in to the Go Go's and I'm bopping around writing a blog. I mean, c'mon!

Also, Sean texted me last night to see if I had plans for NYE. I never go out that night 'cause it's a copfest and full of amateur hour drinkers acting stupid, but this year I am going out. We're going to eat at a fabulous restaurant and then run around. It'll be my first kiss at midnight on NYE in a long time and I look forward to it!
