Isn't that the name of a Depeche Mode album I owned in high school? I am pretty sure it is. Anyways, here is what has been polluting my eardrums as of late.
Billy Lee Riley - Flyin' Saucers Rock & Roll - I love this crazy man.
Yo La Tengo - Today Is The Day - For when I need pretty.
The Jesus Lizard - Boilermaker - Because I will always love them.
The Pretenders - Creep - This is the only Radiohead song I don't like. But I like it when Chrissie Hynde does it.
The Halo Benders - Snowfall - This is the only Xmas music I like, and it's not really even Xmas music. Okay, I lied. I like when The Waitresses do their Xmas song.
Fever Ray - If I Had A Heart - Creepy and beautiful.
Sally Seltmann - Set Me Free - Never has anyone made, "Honey, I love you to bits but I need my god damned space" sound so cute.
I have a girl date on Friday in SF. Going to AQ for dinner, then going to see The Murder City Devils. I am so excited. I am sure I'll take plenty of pictures and do a post about it next week. I most assuredly need a San Francisco day, with my friend Suzie.
Happy picture of the day: The Murder City Devils. I have seen them at least five times, and always have so much fun when I do.

Oh, I hope you have a great time in San Fran this Friday! Sounds like an awesome night.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to mention-I found myself defending the poly life at a party this past weekend. People were discussing it (and were being all judgey and douche about it) they really pissed me off. I cut them off and said, - Hey, I have a friend who is in poly relationship and she's never been happier. Don't talk crap when you really know nothing about it... They looked at me like I had three heads, but they can all suck it because I don't give a shiz. I was offended on account/behalf of you. Maybe we've never met, but I still consider you my friend, and there was no way I wasn't going to step up and defend it.
Thanks! It will be a great time.
DeletePeople are afraid of things they don't know about. Thanks for defending my lifestyle. I just tell those people, "I respect what is right for you, and I love that I have the freedom to do what is right for me."
Wh??... How??... Wha???...How could you not like Radiohead's Creep??? I feel like something in my heart just died.
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic night Friday...that's if we're not hit by an asteroid/planet/Zombies/aliens, or whatever else is supposed to happen via the apocalypse. :)
I LOVE Radiohead. The OK Computer album? Don't even get me started how amazing that album is. It got me through some rough days. But Creep is pretty much their worst song.
DeleteA ton of my friends are having end of the world parties. I'll be eating fancy food then rocking out with my girly friend.
i like the name 'murder city devils', so i will check them out!

I LOVE them. I've seen them so many times.
DeleteOh, I will. It's with Suzie and she is pretty much Captain Epic.
You too! I am not excited about them. I just want them to be over. Sean and I exchanged gifts last night and it was awesome. He got me four pairs of plugs for my ears. They are all very pretty.
Um. Girl date in SF? *raises hand* Pick me????
ReplyDeleteIf you ever come around Norcal I will take you on an epic girl date.
