Well, you might not enjoy the Death Grips. They're kind of an acquired taste. They're local, and I love them to death...grips. (If you read Spin, there's a small article on them on page 78 of the May/June 2012 issue). I keep reading reviews of their album and laughing at how polarizing they are. People either HATE them and wish they would die, or they think it's the most amazing album in the last few years. Albums like that always get my appreciation. Anything that stirs up that much feeling, is a good thing.

You either like them or you don't. I know a lot of people that don't. This album is also obviously meant to be listened to on an iPod or something similar, with headphones. It is a completely different album through speakers, and not nearly as good.
ReplyDeleteI am more open-minded about music than anyone else I have ever met. The only music I don't like really is new country. And most classical. But I do like some classical. Oh, and I don't love opera. That shit drives me bonkers.
I've never heard of any of these songs!! But now I'm intrigued to listen ;)

I listen to way more music than any one person should.
